Xfinity Internet: Plans, Perks, Prices, and Promotions

Xfinity is the biggest and most widely available internet service provider in the US. It offers the widest array of internet deals and internet TV bundles.

Here, we provide an overview of all the spectrum plans, bundles, costs, and additional benefits. Let’s get started.

Xfinity Internet Plans and Prices

There are six Xfinity Internet plans for residential customers. The following table shows the specifications of these plans. Note that these are promotional prices that you pay for the first 12 months.

Plan Connect Connect More Fast Superfast Gigabit Gigabit Extra

Unlimited Data No No Yes Yes Yes Yes
Recommended No of Devices 4 5 8 11 12 12+

Xfinity Connect and Connect More are good for homes with average internet needs. These two packages have a data cap of 1.2 TB, which most people with these connections are unlikely to exceed. But, you’re not charged an overage fee for the first time you exceed the cap in 12 months. For second and subsequent overages, you’re charged $10 per 50 GB. So these plans are pretty affordable if you don’t use a lot of data.

All plans except Connect include WiFi equipment. If you choose Connect, you can get a third-party WiFi router for wireless connections at home. However, you won’t get access to Xfinity’s advanced security, network control, and optimization features.

The recommended number of devices in the table is a rough number for an average house. If you have Full and Ultra HD TVs and gaming PCs in the house, you may need internet speeds faster than the table would suggest. You’ll also need faster speeds if you have multiple smart home devices.

Xfinity TV Internet Bundles

You get more value when you bundle spectrum internet with TV. So if you also need a TV and have decided to get Xfinity Internet, it’s a good idea to choose Xfinity for your TV as well.

Xfinity Internet Connect More + Choice TV

This is the most affordable and basic bundle from Xfinity. Connect More gives you 200 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds with Wi-Fi equipment. Choice TV is for people who only need the essential channels and don’t want to pay for dozens of channels they’ll never watch. Choice TV gives you 10+ channels that include ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC.

Xfinity Internet Fast + Popular TV

This bundle is ideal for most homes. Xfinity Internet Fast gets you max download speeds of 400 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps. Popular TV includes 125+ of the most popular channels such as FX, ESPN, Nickelodeon, and Bravo.

Xfinity Internet Superfast + Ultimate TV

This bundle has everything you want from an internet TV bundle and gives you the highest value for money. Superfast has 800 Mbps max download speed and 20 Mbps max upload speed. Ultimate TV brings home 185+ channels which include everything you’d want to watch.

Xfinity Optional Data Cap, Term Contracts

Data caps and term contracts can lower costs for the service provider, allowing them to offer you lower prices. However, these conditions can also scare away people who aren’t certain about the service provider or their data needs.

Most ISPs have shifted to completely exclude data caps and term contracts from their services. Xfinity has unlimited and contract-free internet deals, but it also gives customers the option to include a data cap and a term contract to their plan for a discount.

The data cap gives you 1.2 TBs of data per month. If you’re a single user who needs high-speed internet for work or streaming but doesn’t use a lot of data volume, this can help you save on your premium. You can also choose either a 12-month contract or a 24-month contract.
